Keep Calm and Drink Tea

There is little that I enjoy more than a great cup of tea. Green, white, oolong, rooibos: I drink them all. Check back for recommendations…

What I’m Drinking This Week - May 13, 2013

Loving Strawberry Rose Champagne Oolong from Teavana. It’s a decadent berry and herbal cup.

May 6, 2013

This week I’m enjoying Maghreb Mint Green Tea from Rishi Teas. Not a traditional mint tea, it also has black pepper, cardamom, cloves and ginger. Now that will wake you up mid-afternoon!

April 29, 2013

Recovering from a cold so I am brewing Fireberry Rooibos from Tiesta Teas for the added berry antioxidants

April 22, 2013

I’m drinking Goji Goodness green tea from Majesteas – tart, grassy and filled with antioxidants

April 15, 2013

Well, at least it’s warm and sunny in my cup – I’m drinking Organic Tangerine Dream green tea from David’s Tea.

April 8, 2013

I’m enjoying the complex and refreshing flavour of Vanilla Mint Pu-erh from Rishi Tea. It’s soft and little sharp, and very drinkable.

April 1, 2013

Happy April everyone! This week is going to be a crazy one, so I am sipping Golden Peach Organic White Tea from Tealish- dialing down the caffeine, and enjoying the peachy-citrusy zing.

March 25, 2013

Giving Spring Kiss from Sonnentor (via Tea Sparrow) a whirl, and surprised to find that mint, licorice and lemon somehow work really well together.

March 18, 2013

I am not a dessert person- I’d much rather eat cheese than cake- but this week I am drinking Red Velvet Cake black tea from David’s Tea, and it is ammmmazzzzing.

March 11, 2013

With the clocks moving forward it is dark out there when I wake up- feeling the need for a bit more caffeine, so I am drinking Monkey Picked Oolong from Teavana. Plus, imagining monkeys picking tea is hysterical. Now that’s an employee relations nightmare waiting to happen…

March 4, 2013

Starting off my days this week with Tropical Green Tea from Mighty Leaf (another Tea Sparrow discovery). It’s got a subtle flavour that lets the grassy green tea show through…mmmm

February 25, 2013

Tea Sparrow delivers again! This month’s tea sampler box was a real winner, and I think my favorite was the Vanilla Honeybush from Florapharm. The vanilla is really rich and almost caramel-ly

February 18, 2013

I’m back amongst the snow drifts after a week in the sun, so I’m drinking Green Apple Sencha from The Tea Emporium (another great local tea shop). It’s got a terrific crisp apple flavour that makes me forget it’s still winter…

February 11, 2013

I’m vacationing in Mexico this week, so I have to be honest- I’m drinking Dos Equis and Pina Coladas, not tea :)

February 4th, 2013

Cardamom Puerh from Numi Tea – Intense exotic spices and a caffeine kick. Very unique!

January 28, 2013

Coconut Blossom green tea from Tealish- I really have a thing for coconut, and this tea has the right coconut flavour – smooth rather than cloying or artificial. Plus I love this bright little shop on Queen West!

January 21, 2013

Sweet Strawberry White Tea from David’s Tea – Refreshing and mild, not actually sweet- yum!

January 14, 2013

Chai Rooibos from Majesteas – I’m not usually a huge fan of chai, but I really like this one. Sort of like a warm blanket for your insides…

January 7, 2013

Sakura Allura Green tea from Teavana – it’s really fruity, a little floral and a little tart. I’m working my way through their white and green selections right now…

December 31, 2012

Black Pearl Oolong from Mountain Tea (via Tea Sparrow) – delicious, rich tea with a mysterious hint of Macintosh red apples

December 24, 2012

Santa’s Secret herbal tea from Sonnentor (via Tea Sparrow) – Apple, cloves, cinnamon and vanilla…merry Christmas!

December 17, 2012

Mom’s Apple Pie Green Tea  from David’s Tea – dessert in a cup!

December 10, 2012

Precious White Peach from Teavana. It’s fruity and delicious.

December 3, 2012

Chamomile Medley – from Rishi Tea via Tea Sparrow, an awesome tea delivery service. I don’t typically drink herbal tea, but I had the flu last week and this tea arrived in the mail as if the universe knew that I needed it…and now I’m hooked.

November 26, 2012

Coconut Oolong – from Majesteas. First snow flakes arrived this weekend, so it’s time to pretend I’m sipping Pina Coladas on a beach somewhere…

November 19, 2012

Green and White Mango Supreme - from Steeped and Infused. Blend of Green and white teas with mango flavour. Tropical…

November 12, 2012

Spring Morning Green Tea – from Teaopia (now Teavana)…it’s berry, berry delicious (pun quota reached)

November 5, 2012

Quangzhou Milk Oolong – from David’s Tea. Creamy, soothing, and higher in caffeine than green or white tea…

October 29, 2012

Leslieville Picnic Blend - from Majesteas. Green tea with strawberry and papaya. Very summery- to help me cope with the cool, rainy weather forecast for this week. Take that Frankenstorm!

October 22, 2012

Mango Diablo – from David’s Tea. Green tea with dried mango chunks and hot chili pepper threads. Ole!
